What you get with a TrustM8 installation
How the installation process works
- Step 1
Initial assessment
You share your address, home type and size, existing heating, the areas you want conditioned, any existing equipment, timing and budget, plus photos if you have them.
- Step 2
Site visit
We assess layout, equipment location, outdoor placement, line-set path, drainage, electrical requirements, system type and installation complexity.
- Step 3
Written proposal
Equipment, installation labour, electrical work, accessories, permits, warranty, maintenance, optional labour protection, financing and rebate assumptions are listed separately.
- Step 4
Installation
The team installs the system and follows a documented quality checklist.
- Step 5
Commissioning and orientation
We test the system, record commissioning information, explain the controls and review basic maintenance with you.
- Step 6
Documentation and follow-up
You receive a digital equipment and warranty folder, and we follow up during the comfort-optimization period.
What each warranty actually covers
Warranty language is often blurred together. Here is the difference in plain terms.
Manufacturer parts warranty
Covers eligible manufacturer component defects under the manufacturer's own terms and registration requirements.
TrustM8 workmanship warranty
Covers qualifying installation workmanship issues on installations completed by TrustM8, under TrustM8's terms. Two years on qualifying installations.
Optional extended labour protection
A third-party plan that may cover eligible repair labour. Availability, cost and coverage are set by the plan provider.
Maintenance
Scheduled care and documentation. Maintenance is not the same as warranty coverage, and it does not automatically cover parts or repair labour.
Rebates and financing
Financing and rebate programs change over time. TrustM8 can help identify current options, prepare contractor documentation, and explain which costs may be eligible. Approval and eligibility are determined by the lender or program administrator.
- • We do not guarantee approval for any rebate or financing program.
- • Program amounts and eligibility rules are set by the administrator and can change without notice.
- • We will tell you clearly which paperwork we prepare and which steps are yours.

Installation questions
How long does an installation take?
Most single-zone installations are completed in one day. Multi-zone systems and installations with electrical upgrades can take longer, and we confirm the schedule in your written proposal.
Do you handle the electrical work?
Electrical requirements are assessed during the site visit and listed separately in your proposal so you can see exactly what is included.
What happens after installation day?
We commission the system, record model and serial numbers, register the manufacturer warranty, walk you through the controls, and follow up during a 90-day comfort optimization period.
How we keep the scope clear
Work outside the selected service scope is never performed without your approval. If we find something else, we document it, explain the options, and wait for your go-ahead.
